Playing bingo online is no different from playing bingo in the halls - except that you do it relaxed at home and use the mouse to cross the numbers.
Each bingo player gets a card with 5 rows and 5 columns, filled with numbers except for the middle square, which remains empty. American bingo is played with 75 possible numbers. In Australia, UK and Europe bingo is played with 90 numbers.
The object of the game is to get bingo by completing a line with 5 numbers - horizontally, vertically or diagonally. When you're the first to do so you win a prize. As each number is drawn randomly you scan your card quickly to find out if it is one of your numbers - if it is, you cross it out and you're one step closer to winning he game. You need to be careful not to miss a number, but mark it as soon as it appears.
Also, apart from the standard static patterns, there are countless patterns that can bring you a reward or a jackpot during promotions or at one time or another, and many can be shifted, moved or rotated, giving you more winning combinations - check bingo patterns for the most popular ones.
Experienced online bingo players play with 4 or even more cards at a time. Playing with 2 cards doubles your chances of winning. When you're just starting it is a good idea to play with just one card.
Each card has a randomly-generated unique set of numbers. To make it easier to find them as they're drawn, the numbers are organized as follows:
- B column contains numbers between 1 and 15
- I column contains numbers between 16 and 30
- N column contains numbers between 31 and 45 plus a free space
- G column contains numbers between 46 and 60, and
- O column contains numbers between 61 and 75.
An extra boon for online bingo players is a chance of hitting progressive jackpots, which can grow into a nifty sum.
